Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Civil Site Engineer to lead our Charleston offices civil site team. This is a leadership role focused on driving business growth, managing multidisciplinary teams, delivering exceptional site development projects, and cultivating strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, staff leadership, and business development within site civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow the civil site practice by executing strategic growth plans alongside office managers and practice leaders
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to generate new business opportunities in the Charleston and broader Lowcountry market
• Oversee design, permitting, and construction oversight for site development projects
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring and performance management of junior and senior staff
• Prepare and contribute to winning proposals and project bids
• Monitor and manage department budgets and resource allocation to ensure financial success
• Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing engineering staff
• Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for project teams
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and client satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in site civil engineering, including project management and business development
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development
• Proven ability to build client relationships and grow a civil engineering practice
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard engineering software
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Local market knowledge of the Charleston and Lowcountry region is a strong plus
