We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our dynamic team and oversee projects across various locations.
Job Summary:
The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for managing and supervising all on-site activities for self-storage and retail development projects. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently while ensuring projects are completed according to schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for self-storage and retail development projects.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site staff.
Monitor project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and financial targets.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues or concerns.
Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs, reports, and documentation of on-site activities - including safety inspection reports, document subcontractor changes, etc.
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
Conduct final inspections and ensure the successful handover of completed projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in construction, with a focus on self-storage, retail, and industrial developments.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management software and other relevant technology.
Willingness to travel extensively and work at various job sites nationwide.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
