Now Hiring: Special Education Teacher (25/26 School Year) – Connecticut

Location: New London, Connecticut
Contract through the 25/26 school year.

Schedule: 37.5–40 hours/week | Follows school district calendar.

Setting: Elementary, Middle, and High School openings.

Pay: Weekly Pay: $1,875–$2,100

Your Role as a Special Education Teacher:

• Create supportive and engaging learning environments.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Provide direct instruction tailored to students’ needs.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster positive behavior and student development.

Special Education Teacher Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Connecticut Teaching Certification in Special Education (required).
• Proficient in IEPs, case management, compliance, and documentation.
• Experience with students who have behavioral, cognitive, or learning disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., standing, sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs).
