Medical Assistant at Luxury Dermatology Office Location New York, NY (Midtown area) :

Busy luxury Dermatology Clinic and Medical Spa practice is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Midtown Manhattan location, for both medical and cosmetic Dermatology.

Candidate must be a self-motivated, responsible, positive professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills. An ability to work independently and also cohesively as a team is a must, as you will be working directly with our medical providers, fellow medical assistants, and front desk staff every day. The ideal candidate can communicate effectively and takes pride in excellent patient care. You must have a friendly, outgoing and positive demeanor, as our team is extremely dedicated to patient care and we are highly customer service oriented. We need someone who is comfortable assisting and interacting with patients and during procedures, documenting notes into electronic medical records, and efficient in patient follow up.

While candidates with medical, cosmetic and hospitality experience are preferred, it is not required and we are happy to teach the right candidate more about skincare and aesthetic treatments. We are also will to train candidates during their gap year. Must be a fast learner, willing to learn, positive attitude, people person, and interested in skincare and dermatology. We are looking for a medical assistant who is passionate about aesthetics as we continue to grow this part of our practice. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients with a smile in a professional and engaging manner
  • Set up exam rooms for all cosmetic, medical and surgical procedures
  • Prepare and assist with examinations, procedures, and medical and cosmetic treatments
  • Prep patients for procedures, gather signed consent forms and photographs
  • Maintain patient database by collecting information, medical histories, prescriptions, allergies, etc. to maintain electronic medical records
  • Accurately record procedures in electronic medical records under the direction of the physician
  • Send out prescriptions, biopsies, specimens, blood work and other test requisitions
  • Clean and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment and maintain supply inventory
  • Ensure prescriptions are sent in a timely manner and take care of all pharmacy inquiries
  • Educate patients on services and skincare products
  • Follow up with patients post-treatment and procedures; addressing any questions or concerns thoroughly to ensure that expectation are met and exceeded
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Aesthetic knowledge a plus! Aesthetic interest a must
  • Will train the right candidate
